EON bank just announced it performance bonus payout FYE 2008 and NUBE members are dissatisfied.

Since 2007, we have been receiving complaints from EON Bank members about being subjected to performance evaluation but deprived of performance bonus.   This has just been confirmed by the bank’s memo to all employees in the Group.

Such a practice is unfair labour practice, discrimination and victimisation especially when you have contributed significantly to the performance of the Bank.

In fact, EON Bank has never approached NUBE to discuss performance bonus in relation to NUBE members in the bank.

We have today, brought inequitable payout to the attention of the Group Chief Executive Officer, Mr Albert Lau Yiong and the bank’s Board of Directors vide our letter, urging him to correct the unfairness.  A copy of our letter which is self explanatory is attached herewith for your attention.

In the meantime, we appeal to all members to remain calm and we will keep you informed of the developments.
