ATTENTION!!! You are being cheated by your Bank in broad daylight.
In our Circular No: 05 dated 2.3.2009 we informed you that we wrote to the Group Chief Executive Officer, Mr Albert Lau Yiong over the unfair payment of performance bonus paid to only Officers and above.
We received a reply from Puan Nor Rozita Nordin, Head – Group Human Resources on 10.3.2009. A copy of her letter is attached herewith for your information.
If you look at item (a) it confirms that the Head – Group Human Resources does not know how to read and understand the Collective Agreement.
Then at item (b) of her letter, Puan Nor Rozita says that performance appraisal done for NUBE members is only to consider skill and/or career development purposes. This is misleading.
By the way, we have enlightened her in our reply dated 12.3.2009 which is also attached herewith.
In EBB, a large number of the workforces are clerical / non clerical employees who are members of NUBE. And, NUBE members contribute to the performance of the bank but what do we get in return?
No bonus for our performance but only for top management! Is this fair to us???
This is outright cheating. EON Bank is a custodian of public funds, by cheating the workers. EON Bank integrity is now questionable.
Do we want our performance bonus? YES! We too earned it. We contributed toward the profits of the bank. It is a shame that our sweat is ROBBED by the greed of our top management.
Be that as it may, we have given the bank till 20.3.2009 to reverse their wrongful decision. In the meantime, all members are advised to remain calm and await updates from NUBE.
