EON Bank Berhad is mischievous.
It seems the Letter of Guarantee issued by the bank now has a clause “Consent to release Medical Information” where NUBE members must sign give permission to the doctor to disclose all information with respect to any illness or injury and to provide copies of all hospitalization or medical records including prior medical history to the bank.
This is a violation of your medical privacy, like a nosy parker.
Further, this matter was not discussed with NUBE and it is not a requirement for medical consultation/treatment.
NUBE folks do not have to sign the “consent” contained in the EON bank Guarantee Letter.
If you are deprived from medical consultation/treatment for not signing the said consent, immediately file your complaint by providing the name of the bank officer who gave such instruction and the name of the doctor and clinic that refused you medical consultation/treatment.
Protect your privacy rights; do not ever give the bank the opportunity to violate your privacy.
