Please be informed that the Bank has informed the Union that the above declaration is purely to update our member’s personal particulars which is also in relation to Audit requirement.

Whilst we agree you should provide the Bank with your spouse’s information and the bank updated, we DO NOT agree with the bank subjecting members to “appropriate disciplinary action” for failing to update HR.

A failure to update marital status or erroneously updated does not warrant disciplinary action.

We have therefore written to the Bank recording our protest against such disciplinary action.

Meanwhile, members are advised to provide the necessary information which is also beneficial to members in the event of any eventualities.

We enclose the letter sent to the Bank which is self explanatory.
