HSBC Bank Malaysia has overstepped the boundaries of tolerance in connection to the escalating trade dispute wherein 80% of the affected workers are women.
NUBE condemns the following action by the CEO of HSBC Bank, Stuard Milne:
1. Failed to engage in social dialogue to resolve escalating trade disputes. Stuard Milne refused social dialogue since the start of the trade dispute in the 4th quarter of 2018. He even stooped low by resorting to lying in order to avoid social dialogue.
0. Failed to attend the trade dispute resolution meeting in the best interest of industrial harmony. Stuart Milne disrespected the Ministry of Human Resources that made efforts to bring parties to the negotiation table to resolve the escalating trade dispute. Instead, he sent incapable HR officers to attend the said meeting.
3. Failed to uphold workers basic human rights and rights provided in the collective agreement. Stuard Milne is encouraging unethical banking and is breeding reprobate and exploitative Supervisor and Managerial staff.
NUBE KLSP held 2nd round or Picket against HSBC Bank; this Picket will go on and more HSBC trash will be revealed till we tame the arrogant and obstinate CEO, Stuart Milne.
