On 2nd August 2019, CIMB bank issued a memorandum to all staff about the introduction of a plan called FlexMy Career (FMC).
CIMB bank claims that FMC is meant to cater for a different experience and varying staff personal needs but NUBE finds the FMC has characteristics of a Voluntary Separation Scheme (VSS).
The current economic climate and the devaluation of the Malaysian Ringgit will have a bearing on you and your family if you do not have a full time employment. In this situation fully time employment with benefits that improves from time to time is very important.
CIMB Bank has assured NUBE that:
1. It is committed to continue to retrain, re-skill and up-skill NUBE members to stay relevant in CIMB Bank.
2. It will take the necessary course of action against any Management Staff threatening/forcing NUBE members to accept the FMC.
This is to ensure that members are fully aware of their rights and will be able to make an informed choice.
NUBE members are required to call your respective NUBE office for an appointment to consult and engage with NUBE if you intend to apply for the FMC.
