NUBE members have been the backbone of the banking industry since the inception. They are hardworking, multiskilled and committed towards their duties and responsibilities. This is a proven track record and, in this token, many responsible banks are equally committed to reskill, upskill, and empower NUBE members in the best interest of the banks and stakeholders.
What started off as the CIMB’s Reskilling Pilot Project initiative; the Digital Ambassador, Branch Self Service Terminals (SSTs) Cash Management Insources Initiative 2.0 and job security is a big success. We are happy to acknowledge CIMB Bank as one of the committed and responsible banks that is adopting good practices to develop a workable framework with NUBE to focus on developing NUBE members in CIMB Bank.
BRANCH DIGITAL AMBASSADOR
Jobs influenced by technology are growing aggressively in the banking industry especially since the pandemic hit us in 2020. Digital Ambassadors are the forefront of the Bank and they are able to build strong relationship with customers. This is also a platform for multiskilling.
We are happy to share with you that the pilot in the KLSP and SMJ region has been very successful and NUBE members did well. Hence, CIMB Bank will be launching this initiative nation-wide. NUBE members in CIMB Bank who took up this challenge are happy and feel motivated.
BRANCH SST CASH MANAGEMENT INSOURCING 2.0
A journey that began in late 2016 has proved to be a great success. NUBE members in CIMB Bank nation-wide are now reskilled to manage the SST in cooperation with an Officer.
REDEPLOYMENT TO BRANCH OPERATIONS
In addition to this, as jobs evolve due to the changing landscape and technological influence, a responsible employer will be committed to reskill workers and redeploy them to where they best fit.
In this aspect, CIMB Bank is responsible in redeploying the MOS Pool and Non-Clerical to be actively involved in branch operations. They will be moving into the nearest branch to begin their new journey to learn branch operations.
