NUBE HQ organised it’s first OSH seminar for members from SMJ Branch in Batu Pahat. This will be done in all 5 NUBE Branches in addition to the National OSH seminar held periodically at NUBE HQ.
Participants from Seremban,Melaka and Johor attended the 1 day OSH seminar.
Topics for the 1 day seminar covers topics such as history of OSH.
Introduction of the OSHA 1994 which includes it’s section and regulations, Hirarc which includes hazard identification, assessment, control and an introduction to ergonomics.
Last but not least OSH at ILO standard were also covered. Video shows were shown to participants to get a better understanding on the subject matter.
Since some banks have not given much emphasis on safety and healthy, the participants admitted that the 1 day seminar was a success.
The participants left the seminar confidently to compliment the bank in promoting safety and well being at workplace.
