NUBE was represented by NUBE National Union of Bank Employees, Sis Nur Fatihah and Sis Evelyn Chan at the “Working Woman and Trade Union Roles” organize by the WFTU Asia Pacific Regional Conference in Hanoi, Vietnam for 3 days.
The opening speech was from Sis. Anda Anastasaki from WFTU Head Quarters and Comrade Bui Van Cuong , President of VGCL.
The event was filled with various discussions mainly to improve working conditions and the struggles of working woman.
Sis Evelyn Chan Siew Yen presented a paper on challenge faced women.
The conference was a success as many suggestions were discussed on ways to improve woman’s participation in the Trade Unions and issues in the work force.
