Welcome to the official a hashtag hyperlink #HapusCajRM1 campaign page! Together, we stand united against the unjust RM1 interbank withdrawal fee. This campaign reflects thousands of bank workers who believe that financial services should prioritise people over profits.

Why This Campaign Matters

For more than 27 years, customers have been burdened with the RM1 fee every time they withdraw money from an ATM of another bank. While it may seem small, this fee disproportionately affects low-income groups, including many of our members from the B40 and M40 categories, who are already struggling to make ends meet.

PayNet, the entity managing the ATM network, along with its shareholders—including Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM)and 11 major banks—has the power to eliminate this fee. Despite their substantial profits, these institutions continue to impose this unnecessary burden.

Our
Campaign
Objectives

1

Convince PayNet, Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) and the 11 shareholder banks to abolish the RM1 interbank ATM withdrawal fee.

2

Raise public awareness about the fee's disproportionate impact on low-income families.

3

Mobilise support to hold these financial institutions accountable for their social responsibility.

This RM1 fee unfairly targets the poor, who often make smaller but more frequent ATM withdrawals to manage their limited finances.
