Congratulations to Nur Adila for securing second place in the photography category with an incredibly powerful and symbolic image.
Her photograph beautifully captures the essence of our theme, “Jiwa Merdeka: From Chains to Change.” It features a young boy, half of his body draped in black and wrapped in chains—symbolising oppression and the challenges faced by workers. The other half is dressed in white, emblazoned with the NUBE motto, "One For All, All For One,"symbolising unity, hope, and the strength of solidarity.
With his fist raised high, the boy clutches a piece of broken chain, representing the triumph of collective strength over oppression. The imagery speaks of a journey from darkness to light, from struggle to freedom.
This powerful visual perfectly embodies the fight for justice and the hope for change, encapsulating the spirit of Jiwa Merdeka—a transition from being bound by chains to breaking free through unity and courage.
