OFFICIAL VISIT FROM TAIWAN MINISTRY OF LABOR TO NUBE
Just hours after our march to Bank Negara Malaysia, NUBE proudly received an official delegation from the Taiwan Ministry of Labor, led by Mr. Tsai Chih-Sung, senior official from the Ministry.
Joining him was Madam Dong Jiqi, Chairman of the Taiwan Water Corporation Enterprise Union, who represents employees, together with 51 National Model Workers from across various sectors including defense, high-tech, manufacturing, healthcare, transportation, public services, and the arts.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by NUBE President Bro. Micheal Tan, Bro. J. Solomon (General Secretary), Sis. A. Karuna (Assistant General Secretary), and Principal Office Bearers of the NUBE leadership team.
Their visit focused on learning about the development of trade unions in Malaysia and the operation of NUBE, recognizing our union’s long history of championing workers’ rights and social justice.
NUBE was deeply honoured to be informed by the Ministry of Labour of Taiwan that NUBE is the only trade union in Malaysia selected for this official visit by the Taiwan Ministry of Labor, reflecting the international recognition of NUBE’s work and the strength of Malaysian workers’ solidarity.
